Passion is a funny concept. You think that you know what it means but when given the opportunity, it’s so difficult to figure out what your true passion really is. The problem is that we have been programed to believe that our passions just don’t matter and that you can’t make money pursuing your passion.

So as you can see, passion doesn’t always have a positive connotation to it. It used to be defined as “suffering”. Maybe that’s why we are not instilled by our ancestors to pursue it. Especially in the western world, we are taught that it causes pain and suffering as it did in Jesus Christ. That is probably why so many of us have suppressed our own passions and don’t really even try to figure out what those passions may be just in case they cause us to “act in a dangerous way”. Well, I just came to terms to what mine is. It’s having free time and freedom to be wherever I want to be when I want to be. Now that might cause me to act in a dangerous way but you know what? I am sick and tired of living in this dreary fashion. I have such a tug in my heart to do something I love. The funny thing is that it took me a long time to figure all this out. It’s a difficult thing to admit to want to love having free time. We have been trained by our peers, society and our families that working determines your worth. Well, I am passionate about my free time and that is when I feel the best. So there it is. From this point forward, I am going to build my life on that premise and oh yeah, I do love money too…
